I’ve mentioned this before, but we are very careful about the products we bring into our home and choose to avoid certain skincare ingredients and chemicals as much as possible. It’s been a process as we are on a tight budget, but when I find a product I love, I am excited to share about it here. As a big family, I know how tough it can be to find safer alternatives that work and fit our budget. Honest Beauty Fresh Flex Concealer review
Overall, I really enjoy Honest Beauty products. I feel like their products are affordable, work well, and avoid many of the most harmful chemicals of concern. It’s still important to research each product before purchasing to ensure they all meet your own standards and you’re comfortable using them. A great tool for this is the Environmental Working Group’s SkinDeep Database. They share the safest products and give each one a rating on a scale of one to ten, with EWG Verified being the safest, 1 being the second best, and so on.
Unfortunately, EWG has not reviewed this product, but I researched each ingredient on the list and will share what I think about some of the bigger ones in the next section. But first, I want to share some of the important facts that I found while researching the product for my Honest Beauty concealer review.
Clean Power Technology: What Honest Beauty calls their multitasking formula, which includes nourishing ingredients and skin-loving benefits for optimal skin wellness and medium buildable coverage. With a dose of essential vitamins, like vitamins B3 and E, shea butter, and 2 types of hyaluronic acid, the 16-shade range provides a flexible concealer that hydrates and leaves an airy, second-skin finish.
Multitasking concealer: Offering more than just coverage, the adaptable formula is perfect for the under-eye area, buildable for areas of concern, and doesn’t settle into fine lines, making it an excellent option for all skin types.
Easy application: The spot concealer blends in like a second skin. Using your ring finger or makeup sponge, dab a small amount onto troublesome areas and blend out.
What’s not found in Honest Beauty Fresh Flex Concealer
Honest Beauty Makeup has a list of over 3,500 ingredients it is committed to avoiding in all its products, including synthetic fragrances, PEGs, and other questionable ingredients. This is incredibly important to me, and I appreciate that they are committed to providing clean beauty products at an affordable price.
I have used several of their products over the years, including their tinted moisturizer, mascara, and setting spray. Everything I’ve tried has been affordable, clean, and works well! I appreciate that the Honest founder, Jessica Alba, has created a straightforward brand that provides products I can trust!
In addition to providing clean beauty products, Honest Beauty uses 100% recycled post-consumer waste materials in all of their new sustainable cartons.

So, what do I think of Honest Beauty Fresh Flex concealer? Overall, it’s a good product, but I want to share all the pros and cons I found while testing it.
Pros:
Affordability: This product is relatively clean, so I feel that the price point is very affordable for the amount of product that is actually in the tube.
Coverage: The Fresh Flex concealer moves with your skin and is definitely a multitasking product. It provides excellent coverage, whether used alone for quick spot coverage or under your foundation for a full face of makeup.
Trustworthy brand: Honest Beauty’s standards are higher than those of many brands on the market today without an unattainable price point, which is incredibly important for those of us, like me, who have a tight budget. I appreciate that their products hold up to what they claim without compromising with questionable ingredients.
Cons:
Dimethicone: While Honest Beauty has a list of over 3,500 ingredients they refuse to use, dimethicone is one ingredient I don’t love. This is a personal decision, and considering everything else you won’t find in their products, this may be one compromise I’m willing to make.
Creasing: This was an easy fix with some setting powder, but I did notice some settling into fine lines around my eyes. However, I am in my 30s and have more mature skin now (oof, that hurts to admit!), so you may not experience settling.
This is a personal preference, but I prefer matte products because my skin is naturally oily, and I hate that look. This product is between a matte finish and a dewy look. I like the slight brightening the concealer provides, though, and I felt it evened my skin tone. I could easily wear the concealer with a little setting powder and head out the door.
Will I keep using Honest Beauty Fresh Flex Concealer?
This is a tough question to answer. I want to be honest and share what I think when I share posts like this. Overall, I like the Fresh Flex concealer but don’t love it. I wish it didn’t settle so much into my fine lines, but this was my own experience. I still feel like this is an excellent product to replace conventional concealers containing concerning ingredients.
